It only happens in Bologna
A few months ago, we met the guys from Succede Solo a Bologna, starting a collaboration in Bologna that allowed us to discover a much broader reality than we imagined. We thought (wrongly!) that they mainly focused on dialect courses and themed comics, but instead, they are a nonprofit organization founded in 2011 with the goal of promoting our city in all its forms, including enhancing and restoring Bologna's monuments and spaces. They have currently taken over the management of the Villa Mazzacorati Theater (a historic building dating back to 1763) on Via Toscana, and we want to help them make it the positive gathering space for the neighborhood they dream of creating. We decided to contribute by hosting a free-will donation day to support the cause, and every Extratina purchased will go toward the restoration of Villa Mazzacorati. We won't give up until every inch of it has been restored to its original splendor! The lighting fixtures, frescoes, wings and backdrop, stage, historic seats, and side rooms will all need to be restored. There's so much to do!
Soul
We've been wanting to add a fried tortellone to our menu for a while, like the ones we make for Carnival. As always, we wanted this initiative to have a value that goes beyond the product itself, launching a collaboration in Bologna that combines flavor and social commitment. Anima is a social cooperative in San Marino di Bentivoglio, where they run a trattoria, Locanda Smeraldi. They employ young people with disabilities, providing them with job placement programs and engaging them in a variety of activities. It's their employees who make our sweet tortelloni filled with ricotta and chocolate: you can find them on our menu as a delicious after-meal treat!
Unworthy and Old Bear for a social beer!
Birra Indegno® was born from the desire to pair our Crescentine with something different and unique. We therefore decided to turn to the Birrificio Sociale Artigianale Vecchia Orsa, located in the Bologna hinterland, with whom we share a production philosophy and a desire to always deliver the best. We love the Vecchia Orsa team's project for many reasons, all encapsulated in their name: "Social" Brewery because they have included disabled employees on their staff who actively participate in the production process; "Artisan" because yeasts and flavorings are used without additives, filtering, or pasteurization, resulting in beers with unique body and aroma. Thus, from a close collaboration, our first three beers were born:
Piazza Maggiore | Blonde
Classic lager beer with fruity notes and a hoppy flavour.
Dedicated to Piazza Maggiore, the beating heart of Bologna. The raised area in the center of the square is known to the Bolognese as the "Crescentone," a name reminiscent of our traditional crescentine. Every summer, it hosts the Open Air Cinema, a cultural event showcasing the most important and iconic films of recent and past years.
Seven Churches | Tripel
In your hands you have a Tripel, a malty and full-bodied beer.
We called it "Seven Churches," like the architectural complex that forms the Basilica of Santo Stefano, one of Bologna's iconic monuments. Such a unique structure seemed like a fitting parallel to the intense, enduring flavor of this beer!
Pratello | IPA session
Session IPA, a fresh and hoppy beer.
Dedicated to Pratello, one of Bologna's most iconic streets. With its porticoes, street art, cultural events, and nightlife, Pratello has become a beloved favorite among locals and tourists over the years. With its citrusy, slightly bitter taste, it's perfect for enjoying the bohemian atmosphere typical of an evening in Pratello.

Treedom
Since December 2022, we have been collaborating in Bologna with Treedom, an Italian company that works on conscious reforestation, planting native species in various regions of the planet and donating the trees to local populations so they can use them as a resource.
We, in our own small way, plant eight trees a month in the Greater Rhine Forest. In this way, we actively contribute to the reforestation of the planet.
Mine
Wami stands for "Water with a Mission." It's a company dedicated to bringing clean drinking water to areas of the world that lack this essential resource. With every bottle served, we guarantee 100 liters of clean drinking water to communities that still lack access to this resource.
